Loose Shell Syndrome

Symptoms:  

Shrimp affected with Loose Shell Syndrome shows flaccid abdomen and shrunken hepatopancreas with pinkish discoloration.

The signs of LSS infection - 

Paper-like carapace, 

soft muscle, 

gap between muscle and exoskeleton, 

Pigmented hepatopancreas, 

Respiratory problems due to damaged and foul gills, 

Behavioral changes like off-feeding, 

Loss of weight, 

Reduction in daily growth rate, 

Lethargy, 

Impaired molting and 

progressive mortality.

Common Causes - 

Poor water quality, 

Nutritional deficiency, 

Low-quality feed, 

Poor pond bottom condition, 

Exposure to certain chemical pesticides, 

LSS can also be caused by fungi, bacteria, protozoa.

Dosage: Use for Aquaculture Age 21 days and above
